Beginning Friday, January 11, Seattle Opera kicks off Search for Cinderella, a series of four digital scavenger hunts. Prizes include free opera tickets for the company’s upcoming production of Rossini’s Cinderella, as well as other valuable items that will remain top-secret until each new e-trail of clues is unveiled.
The first hunt will begin at 10:00am on Friday, January 11, when the day’s grand prize and an initial clue to its location will be posted to Seattle Opera’s official Facebook and Twitter pages. In order to win, players will have to decipher digital clues and hop around the web in their quest to be first to the finish line! New hunts will begin January 14, 16, and 18, at 10:00am each day. Second-place finishers to each contest will receive a runner-up reward of a pair of tickets to Viva Verdi!, a special one-night-only concert on April 6, celebrating the bicentennial of Verdi and featuring the Young Artists Program, the Seattle Opera Chorus, and the YAP Orchestra.
The Search for Cinderella contest is open to those who are at least 18 years of age or older. No purchase necessary. Employees of Seattle Opera as well as immediate family (spouses, domestic partners, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of such employees are not eligible. Seattle Opera’s upcoming production of Cinderella is a whimsical, colorful take on a classic fairy-tale, opening Saturday, January 12 and running for eight performances through Saturday, January 26.
